: I took out my deck staples and did planing and initial 80 grit
: sanding. I got a real kick out of wetting this thing down and
: seeing the true colors of what I've created. I swear after the
: first wet down I stood there in awe and stared at it for like
: 20+ minutes only thinking "I made that" :) Then it
: dried and I just had to wet it down again when my wife got home
: to show her what I've been doing.

: It was very satisfying to see the color come out of the wood to say
: the least... Is there a point where I can wet the kayak down to
: many times? Can this effect the glue or the wood or bugger
: anything else up? I can see myself going through this (probably
: more than once) after each grit of sanding.
