Enjoy the feeling. The boat will probably never look as good again as it will after the final damping down after the final sanding. After that it will have glass and varnish on it, both of which leave potential for imperfection. When I used to make furniture I always finished off with oil. So satisfying. Varnish doesn't really do it for me. Too shiny.

We just have to work within the boundaries of the medium.
