Rob et al,

Don was quite a good friend of Tony Kinal (our Spruce Woods skiing partner) who you paddled with down the La Salle River with.

I would read the books in this order:

Paddle to the Amazon
Kabloona in the Yellow Kayak
Paddle to the Arctic

Three exceptional reads and I think you will appreciate the various characters frame of mind to the fullest if you read them in this order.

Cheers

Ken

: I read Don's book, Paddle to the Amazon, it's a great read. I have
: also read Victoria Jason's book, Kabloona in the Yellow
: Kayak...also a great read. I am saddened to hear that a legend
: has passed on. My heart goes out to his family. Victoria died
: many years ago, they were both part of the original team when
: Don tried to make his first run through the Northwest Passage.
: Don didn't make it, Vic did, hence her book. They both had
: courage, Victoria had more sense. Both respected folks.
