Thanks for your detailed explanation Kevin,
So I'll just leave the smaller 11" measurment at the center of the boat.

: Your plan should tell you the length of your strongback, from the
: plans, ie.. kit drawings or plans. I built a CLC Guillemot L kit
: which has a subset of Nick plans ie..The kit comes with CNC cut
: stations. My plan told me to build strongback to length, which i
: did.. however, the form spacing was not clear on the plans, so I
: called CLC tech support for clarifications. So this may be your
: problem.

: The solution :
: 1) build strongback to exact plan length
: 2) Mark your spacing starting at each bow and stern stations and
: work towards the center. Measure from the ends every 12 inches.
: If you are using 1/2 inches forms the center stations by the
: cockpit will have a 11 inch spacing instead of 12 inches,
: accounting for the 1/2 inch width of the bow and stern stations
: at the ends of the strongback.
: 3) The stations at each end of the strongback will be mounted flush
: to the end of the strongback for the bow and the stern. This is
: because your plan should be referenced for the strips to first
: touch the outbound(bow or stern side) side of the stations.

: Hopefully, this helps...
