Hi Douglas, By "stem forms", I think you mean the bow and stern forms or molds as Mac calls them on pg.87 of Featherweight Boatbuilding. If so, these pieces don't get a bevel edge at all. Only the laminated inner stem strips get beveled and only as you work your way up so you'll know how much to take off. The angle of the bevel changes slightly as you approach the keel.
You're shooting for a nice flat gluing surface between the strip and the inner stem.
