Too late, already built the paddle. It worked great but I think the SUP paddles need to be glassed if used by a pro paddler. Mine lasted all of 12 minutes before the shaft got a slight crack in it. However, I used it for several days enjoying my new SUP without any problems. I did give it to a friend to "test it to the limit" during a SUP race. I think a 4 oz glass around the shaft would be the ticket. I'm on the way to the barn to build another.
