Nice. At least you've got a workshop right now. I've opted to put off the start of my Sea Tour 15 EXP... driving three hours to Mom's barn to build it was feasible, but only slightly crazy. Oddly enough, people seem ready to declare me crazy simply for building the kayak. If I mention the workshop's three hours away, they simply dismiss it. Maybe their mind's just trying to cope with the concept of building something instead of buying it. *helpless shrug*

Anyway, the other deterrent: Mom's renting the barn out. Makes it kinda difficult to build a kayak when someone else is paying for the space. She has mentioned that I'm free to go through Dad's tools and take my pick. I'm hoping she's willing to part with the drill press, table saw, and a few other pieces... it'd make ripping those stringers and cutting the formers easier. I don't know how much use she'd get out of them.

As things work out, the wife and I are actually picking up a house, with a full basement. No windows that are kayak sized, but there's a straight line stairway leading down. Door at the top of the stairs, directly across the door to the garage. That'll fit a kayak ;o).

So thanks for the reminder that I ought to watch where outlets are. I'd love to see pics, too... just trying to get some ideas about how I want the basement organized.
