Strip: Soft epoxy 18hrs after laying inside seam

Hi all

Last night I started joining the halves, laying tape along one seam. I used two batches of West 105/206 resin/hardener. The tape that I laid with one batch is hard, as I would expect (it's been 18hrs since I laid it, and we've had 25C today - about 75F).

But the other half is a bit soft. It's not tacky, but it is a bit pliable. I can dent it with a fingernail. I used digital scales to measure it out (only about 40g, about 1 1/2oz), but had a plastic sheet across the scales, and I wonder if I did something like lean on the plastic and compromise the reading.

Anyway ... the big question is ... do I need to worry and if so what do I do?

I am inclined to think (hope!) that it will harden, since it obviously has mostly hardened, just not as quick as I'd have expected. Is this true? If you are a little short on hardener, does it eventually harden anyway?

With hopeful regards!

Ian
