: If I ever build another SOF I would like to include hatches and
: bulkheads. Does anyone have actual experience doing this? If so
: please share.
: I liked the idea of velcro, just might give it a try.

I've got one hanging in the garage with bulkheads and hatches, its also got a semi-round bottom, has stripped chines. Very different SOF.

With my method of covering the bulkheads are very simple, you just use the material for the base of the cover, 3 ounce dacron and glue it to the skin's inside. Much easier with a single chine (or the stripped round chine for that matter) as there are less things in the way to have to cut the fabric around. I attach the bulkhead to the hull while the deck is uncovered, then have to stick your head up inside the cockpit to attach the bulkhead fabric to the deck.

There's lots of ways on the web for doing hatches on SOF's, Tom's got a couple on his website. Mine have a plywood base across two deck stringers and plywood semi-recessed hatches.
