the Guillemot was my first build. the next had a lot more time in it (6 months) and more detail. Great Auk (modified) for my wife.. Named it 'freckles' because of all the knots. pics here if you have time to kill..

Both were built from offsets in Nick's great book. Had to read it about 4 times before I understood it all :-)
third 'yak was a Yost design, Sea Ranger built from offsets.

This was the first Sea Ranger that was strip built. It has a Chris-Craft look to it. Easy build, 6 weeks. I moved the rear hatch to behind the cockpit and made it integral to the seat back. Skinny boat with little primary stab, but more secondary. easy roller.
