I just finished an F1 in a class. We sewed on the coaming with 2 inch o.c. holes. Once we had gone around in one direction, we went around the other way. From both side you see a line of thread that does not have any gaps. Does that make sense? It has held up for a week, the total time I have been using the boat. It seems to me that SOF has a lot of points in its favor. A sub-30 pound boat is a lot easier to get on the top of a car.
