Thanks for the input!

I typically use a card scraper to clean up damaged areas, so I was able to get the cement out of the damaged area pretty well.

I'd rather not go with a brass strip or similar graphite setup at this point. Underwater hazards are frequent issues here in the Northwest, but this is a first boat and I intend to build a new one in a few years. I just need this one to continue to be safe until I'm ready for the next one. I've got a few folders that I want build first.

The chip brush is a great idea. I've tried the foam brushes before, but they actually start to melt before too long.

I'm also intrigued with the idea of pre-wetting the tape. Cutting out a strip out of 6oz cloth might be a bridge to far on this project, but I'm going to try the same idea with the tape.
