Hi Will,

Should look at Larry C's post a little before yours on this forum, you can see this guy in the racing boat with his legs very close together, it's one of the reasons that the K1's use a tiller for steering and most other fast boats use gas pedals, to allow your legs to get close to the centerline (these boats are also seriously skinny up by your feet). My poly trainer's feet position is maybe a foot wide where my feet are. It's much more efficient to push on the centerline keeping your legs basically straight.

Might also look at the links that were sent before, there's a picture of a pivoting seat I think in one of them, allows for much easier rotation.
