: I agree the roller will lift the glass if you go too fast. What I
: do is tiny back and forth strokes pushing down a bit and rolling
: up then back then up a little more then back and on an on.

: Like you said- whatever works. Lots of folks squeegee only and all
: the videos I'm seeing are squeegeeing so I was starting to think
: maybe I'm missing something! Now for building foam boards if
: adding color as I go then I squeegee. You can mix color right on
: the board and get a "tie dye" effect. Maybe you should
: try that on the next skin on frame. Just pour out different
: colors and squeegee them out letting the colors mix here and
: there. You can swirl them or spread them straight back and fade
: from color to color. Might look cool on a kayak- or honestly it
: could turn out quite horrible!!!

Hi Malcolm,

Well my SOF's are glass covered so they don't have the traditional coloring. One problem we have with kayaks/canoes that you don't have on a board is glassing the inside, like doing a bathtub everything runs to the low point. On the insides a squeegie works great as you can drag the pooling resin out of the puddle it tends to form. I still use a brush for most glass work, it's just what I'm used to, certainly not used as much as some people like Nick, but I've gone thru several full rolls of glass doing it this way.
