Strip: Measure a kayak for copying

Hi all.
I have a friend who wants to build a copy of an existing SOF kayak in strips.
A few weeks back I found a page somewhere on the net describing how to measure a kayak for copying, but I can´t find it anymore.
In case anyone have a link to such a page, I would be very grateful.
