I would have had this one done and on the water fishing out of it but I sprained an ankle and haven't been able to spend much time in the shop. If I do an Inspection I don't feel like standing on it. So little shop time till this heals more. I finally got this one to the point the skin was sealed. All that is left is to add rub rails, bow and stern rub strips and a seat.

I wanted to test the stability and get an idea of where I wanted the seat height so I took it to the pool. I designed it with a lower stability than I assume most canoes would have, so I knew the seat would have to be mounted a lower to be comfortable to fish out of. But I wanted to keep the resistance down so when on fishing trips it wouldn't be a barge and the slowest boat around. It think with a double bladed paddle I will still be able to outrun the fishing SOT's most of them paddle.
