: I plan on overlapping my deck glass about 2" down onto the
: hull. When I initially cut the glass for the hull, I found that
: making an 18 foot long NiceNeatStraight cut was NOT easily done.
: I'm talking about cutting the silk BEFORE any resin is added on.
: So...anyone have an idea/tool that wood ensure that my
: overlapped piece is not scraggly?
: After it's epoxied and set up a little...no problem with shaving
: the extra off with razor...but this deck piece...kinda got me
: worried.

Painters tape with the top edge at the 2" mark. Wait 2-3 hrs and then cut the glass that overlaps the tape and pull the tape off. Perfect straight cut.
