Thank you for the posts. I guess what I was asking which method for make the cockpit is easiest, all glass or carbon, wooden riser and then some type of lip or plywood stack.

I know I could talk to CLC, but then there would be shipping delay and I would have a plywood stack, I was thinking of making my boat a little different from a straight kit.

thanks for the helpful ideas, I do like the idea of using someone elses cockpit configuration so that I can get an off the shelf skirt.
