I will answer with an "If it were me" answer. If it were me I would use the Titebond if I was going to glass it or not and I have. I would just use a little extra glue on the joints to prevent a dry spot. I have made a couple of hollow shafts and one I used a fair amount, no problem with it. Again, it's all about the good mating surfaces! If you don't have a good match you won't get a good glue up.

I glue up all my greenlands that way. I glue up laminated coamings that just get oiled that way too.
