: Our paddling club also went out today, minus me, had to work. Lake
: Columbia, WI, the fog bowl, air temps around 10 degrees and lake
: temps around 70 degrees makes for lots of fog. It's a power
: plant cooling pond that's about a mile long.

Bill, at least someone can enjoy paddling. I was looking at the river today thinking what a thick blanket of snow covers it this winter. Even the spots that are usually open are frozen due to the 6-week long cold snap we have been struggling though with average temperatures somewhere below -20 C. Haven't seen this much snow so early in the winter in a while. That said, I should be on the x-c skis next week now that I have more time to myself (got a few chores done to open up the time).
