: Planning to build cedar strip kayak and trying to pick the best design for
: kayaking around the San Juan Islands (Washington State). Mostly day
: kayaking with some weekend touring. Tried out and liked the Seda-Ikkuna
: (17' LOA, 22" BOA), P&H-Cetus (17'-1" LOA, 22.5" BOA)and
: the Wilderness Systems-Tempest(17' LOA, 22" BOA). Thinking of
: building a Guillemot. Any recommendations?

I've not paddled the Guillemot, but with it's slightly narrower beam and almost flat bottom I'd suspect you'd be comfy in it. We've got one around here but the owner never seems to show up at any of the paddling events to have a chance to try it.

Was hoping that one the the builders of that boat here would chime in, but so far no one has.
