Strip: Best Design for Kayaking San Juans

Planning to build cedar strip kayak and trying to pick the best design for kayaking around the San Juan Islands (Washington State). Mostly day kayaking with some weekend touring. Tried out and liked the Seda-Ikkuna (17' LOA, 22" BOA), P&H-Cetus (17'-1" LOA, 22.5" BOA)and the Wilderness Systems-Tempest(17' LOA, 22" BOA). Thinking of building a Guillemot. Any recommendations?
