It depends a bit on how much time you are prepared to spend heating and bending strips.

Some people bend all the strips all the way.

I think a lot of people compromise and bend the strip as far as can be done easily and then fill in the gap with a "cheater strip". That it the approach I have often taken. With a bit of care in strip selection it isn't apparent that not all the strips follow the curve if the sheer.

It is a good idea to try to avoid having a strip cross over the chine, especially with a hard chine. Cheater strips are a good way to avoid that complication.

Ultimately it will not make an obvious difference to the appearance, especially if you have an accent strip just on the sheer or immediately above or below so that people's attention is drawn to that.

I'm pretty sure that is the approach I took with this one. It's a bit hard to tell.
