As noted in my other reply, this sounds good. But, I still wonder how to seal the inside of those many small stitch holes through the base ring. It's not like a 1/4 inch deck fitting hole that you can swab epoxy through, or fill-drill-fill.

: Drill your stitch holes through the top of the base ring, and then stretch
: and stitch your skin to the top of the base ring. Then, you can squeeze
: some silicon between the coaming and the base ring to keep water from
: entering the cockpit when you roll, etc.
