In Response To: Strip: cutting the strongback to length. (george jung)

: I'm about to cut the angled ends for a strongback, for a storm LT; any
: suggestions how to ensure the cut is 'square'? The dimensions are 2"
: X 4.5"; the bow section has a 16" diagonal cut. I can measure
: everything out 'square', but... cutting each side, I suspect it'll be
: difficult to maintain a parallel cut.

: Thanks.

If you're cutting this by hand, it'll indeed be a difficult cut to maintain a square cut.

I've always used an external strongback, actually use the same one for all the boats, eliminates this problem.
