I happen to own both the Porter Cable you are considering and also the Porter Cable 7336 that some one else mentioned. I like them both. The six inch is a bit heavy but I have used it for years and have gotten use to it. It will take alot of material off if you are not careful with it. You can get a soft pad for it.

I have only had the 5 inch one a few months but really like it too. I have been unable to locate a soft pad for it, so if you find one, please let me know. As far as the comfort of the grip, it seems fine to me. However, some have complained about it being to big and uncomfortable. I have not had any problems along those lines.

I bought both with the hook and loop. I prefer H&L but that may only be because that is all I have ever used.

Also somebody mentioned the Mirka products. I can second that recommendation, their products are all I use on my power sanders.
