Yep, I know, Glen...I meant that any closed-cell foam could be used. I use rather thick closed-cell foam weather stripping. It squishes down quite thin after a couple of weeks of paddling and doesn't look all that bad under the hatches and gives me a perfectly tight seal each time. I change it over every year to keep the foam fresh and squishy.
