I've been swapping e-mails with a CraigsList seller about an old-looking fiberglass kayak. Other than it being an Old Town kayak, he doesn't know how hold it is nor really anything about it.

I'm curious to know what it would take to re-"paint" it? Ok, re-gel coat it.

I've got no experience - I've never even owned a fiberglass boat!

I assume I can get the kayak pretty cheap. I just don't want to have a ton of money into restoring it. Putting work into it, I don't mind.

Any thoughts/opinions are welcome.
