: Do you have to let epoxy dry before applying the varnish? Or can I varnish it
: as soon as I get it joined and sanded. If it does have to dry, then how
: long does it need to?

: Thanks

I always wait 2 weeks in SoCal (it’s warm here). The first coat of varnish will take forever to cure if the epoxy is not fully cured. More importantly the weave of the glass will telegraph through onto the surface of the epoxy (usually after a hot day at the beach) if the epoxy is not fully cured at final sanding and varnishing. It defies logic but that is the consensus on the BB. Check the archives. A final cure with elevated temperature has been done by some builders to avoid telegraphing.
