my awesome board's face is rough so I was thinking I should clean it up before cutting the chines etc...wondering if I should sand or plane the face? If I sand was wondering what grit sand paper to use? If I planed it I would have to use a block plan (all I have) and then maybe sand afterwards? It is not uneven just really rough - hope it is not a property of the mahogany wood that will be follow-on difficult since I have now fallen in love with this piece of wood!
