Strip: It's just addicting!

Truly, one cannot help but become addicted to building all these beautiful boats. No matter what your fancy is, they are each a work of art or even an expression of one's self. As my eyes glaze over each picture posted of a new boat, my heart pumps with excitement... I tell myself, "I will have to build one of those!"... and someday I will! *big grins*. Afterall, there's no rules to how many kayaks your allowed to have...Right?

So tell me.... as a amateur boat builder... where would you start if you wanted to consider building a strip kayak? I just spent the best part of my day drooling over pics and reading about them.. I just have to do it! I just have to. But where do I start?

Can you give me an idea of the tools and shop space I am going to need?
I have a garage that after cleaning out, will likely suffice with some leveling up of the floor. Then what? What will I want to fill it with in regards to tools to prepare for a strip build?

And can you please recommend the best books?

Oh my... someone send the doctor, I done got the fever!
*wink*

Big Smiles, ~Heather
