We have 2 liter, 4 liter and 10 liter (the latter is harder to get!)

In the two liter range there are a number of wineries that are putting their bottled wines into casks. You can get some pretty good mid range wines in those, and at a reasonable price.

The 4 liter are pleasant, run of the mill wines. There is a very wide range of reds, whites and Rose. Not very complex, but a nice glass with your evening meal if you are on a budget. (You have to choose from a bottle at say $15 (Aud) or a 4 liter cask at $15. I would think the bottle cost of these wines would be between $8 and $10 (Aud) per liter.

The larger casks are made for the club industry. (Leagues clubs, returned servicemens club) etc. They are the "house" wine. In actual fact, thought the range is limited, they cask some very nice popular wines in them.

Back, sort of on topic: I will be making a paddle float using the cask sac as an inflateable back.
