: Thanks Bill!

: I am in Janesville WI, where in Northern IL are you? I am going to build a
: great auk and was hoping to find some white cedar for accent strips.
: My son and I are building a CLC Mill Creek Hybrid. I ordered the kit from CLC
: for the Mill Creek. The white cedar was what I need for the immediate
: projects. But if this goes well I would like to build a small wherry type
: sailboat and for that I will need mrine plywood. I thought I would throw
: it out there as long as I was posting. Thanks for your help, I will check
: them out tomorrow.

Hi Nate,

I'm just north of Rockford, probably 20 miles away. If you need help, just ask :)

Just got done teaching both a Yost kayak building class then a greenland paddle carving class locally, so am helping local builders as often as possible.

Btw, for a white wood accent might check with Badger Hardwoods, they are relatively close to you. They should have basswood which is fairly light and is very white in color. Most yards can order marine ply even if they don't stock it, sometimes it's a heck of alot cheaper to drive and pick it up unless you're ordering a bunch at one time, the shipping can add quite a bit to the price.
