Skin-on-Frame: Staples

Hi all,

I'm planning to skin my first SOF kayak this weekend (yay!) and need to get some staples (and some PVC, but that's under control).

Do I need stainless steel or galvanised or other specific stples (to prevent rusting)? S/steel has been recommended - but hard to get in the size of my staple gun. So just wondering about alternatives before I search too hard.

Also, do people find a manual or electric stapler better? Or doesn't it matter?

Thanks - pretty basic questions but it's all new to me, and I'm on a tight timeframe to allow me to take the kayak away with me in a week.

Thanks,
Darren
