I know this has hundreds of threads already. I have read many.
But now I need very specific advice. My kayak building buddy wants to put a permanent skeg on his Night Heron. Not with cables to be withdrawn into a sleeve. We are looking for advice on size, location, materials, etc.
It can be fixed to the bottom or at the back. Whatever will work well.
