Kayak seat and backrest

This is a good deal and seat: the seat is deep which helps hold you in position as you lean the kayak.

The mini cell alone plus labor makes this great and not always easy to carve. I would add on the inexpensive CLC backband:

Then pad out the side bracing according to your needs with trial and fitting. You want about a finger space between your hips and the side padding so you can twist and turn you body easily but still not be sliding around side to side on leans. If you make the side padding too tight, it will be difficult to learn to roll and annoying when you want to turn your body to look back.
