No sparkle to this one.

The boat is called "The Woodie". It is the only one that exists. It is a C-1 squirt boat. It was designed & built last winter by Jim Gross in Virginia. I bought it from him a week ago. This is my 3rd C-1 squirt (also refered to as "Cquirt"). My first was a 1/2" cut Acrobat. 2nd was a master cut Acrobat (I've gone shoulders deep at Fascination Alley & consistently chest deep here on the Roanoke in that one).

I've added a link to a photo of a few Cquirts. From the bottom they are 3-Acrobats, 3-Mavens & 2-Oxygens. The Viper at the top is a surface boat. Last winter there were 3 more new Cquirts designed. The Woodie, the Mentor (designed by Adam Pearsall) & the Ceemweaver (designed by Jim Snyder).

There are so few Cquirtist that it would be quite difficult to get training. We do have an annual gathering though. A bunch of us that use cboats.net get together on the Cheat River in WV to play & swap boats. Jim Snyder has shown us a trick or two the last couple of years.

This is a link to a gallery of photos from last year's Cquirt. http://cboats.net/gallery/index.php?album=%2Fpics%2Farmadas%2FCquirt2008%2F&page=1

: If the deck sparkles (hard to define online) in direct sunlight then the
: white color is from wearing thru the epoxy into the glass. Otherwise it
: might be from the hull distorting and delamination which is considerably
: more difficult to repair.

: I do wonder what kinda boat this is. Could be either a C-1 or a squirt boat,
: can't be both. Not heard of anyone building squirt boats as strippers
: though I suspect it could be done. Squirt boats are designed for use
: underwater in rivers as strange as that sounds. I've got a very early one
: (not that I have the skills to use it). Btw, you really need training to
: use these things :)
