Hi John,

The last boat I did in my shop was a mahogany runabout approx. 27' long x 10' wide and stood over 11' high on the trailer. Had to replace the bottom as well as refinish the whole thing and rebuild the twin Chrysler Hemi's. Finding plugs in a black painted bottom was "interesting", specially with it being almost 10' wide and 25' long and having 5 tons of boat over your head :)
Btw, 3500 board ft. of honduras mahogany went into that boat, would be impossible today.

Yes, they can be interesting to find sometimes. Honduras isn't as hard as walnut but I think I only used two cutters for that whole project, something like 10,000 plugs.
