Dave, wait until you see what I'm doing.. I got a replacement flywheel assembly from Concept2 and am building the frame, drive axle, and pulleys myself. If I do it right, I should be able to use the PM monitor from C2 also since the flywheel has the special magnet.. I bought a magneto from C2 also, very affordable. The machining of the other parts is expensive, but I have the equipment fortunately.
