You bet. The stern picture reminded me that I used dark flat-grain RWC strips (bookmatched from the center outward) in a "field" on the deck, surrounded by bookmatched vertical grain RWC strips and set off by pine accents--this created quite a lot of visual contrast with just one species of wood. You can get a lot out RWC.
