: OR- how long does it last? I'm building a Sea Flea 11 for my daughter now.
: I've cut the frames out for a Sea Tour 17R and have grandiose vision of
: building a 20/double at some point in the future.

: On his page, he indicates that the cross sections, stems and coaming should
: be coated in epoxy w/ double coats on the plywood edges. I'll also need
: thickened epoxy for gluing the stringers in place. I haven't yet decided
: if I'm going with screws/pegs OR with fillets.

: I'm completeyl clueless-- does anyone have any idea how much epoxy that I'll
: need?

: And, can you point me in the direction of what I should buy? I'm pretty local
: to Sweet Composites (www.sweetcomposites.com) and to CLC; so I could order
: from them and go pick up whatever.

: Anyway, any ideas/thoughts/opinions/you're stupid comments are welcome. :-)

Yes, plywood edges should be sealed with epoxy for durability. Agree with Jeff, not a lot is needed. If the epoxy is stored at room temperature and sealed well (don't leave the mini-pumps installed for storage) it'll last for years if stored in an airtight container. One reason I like West brand resin, it comes in metal containers, the plastic ones aren't as airtight nor are UV resistant.
