I have posted here before as I continue to build my first kayak, the great auk. I'm on to the buttplates for tomorrow and wondering the width of the plate, how close to the inside hull should it go and is it centered in the side of the cockpit or closer to either the front or back.........I sure would appreciate some feedback from the wiley veterans out there so I can work on them tomorrow.
