Didn't I see a couple of Shearwaters on your build list posted on paddling.net? Or, perhaps materials have evolved? Well, the kit does have 9 oz. 3-inch tape for the fillets, so, I guess I have a lot of room for error. I did full edge feathers in the cockpit, including around the bulkheads. I did less complete feathers on edges behind the bulkheads. When I twice emptied the bag on my ROS, I was surprised at the amount and weight of the accumulated material.

: overkill and awkward to deal with, if it's 3" 9oz tape you have a lot

: CLCs original Chesapeake 17LT had the interior tape nearly sanded half way
: through and it held together.

: The last construction I made was a Shearwater(Merganser)17W with pre-glassed
