just out of curiosity how is the interior finished? I've seen a lot of variations on interior construction from heavy fillet and no glass to nearly no fillet and 1 1/2"glass tape. The 9oz tape if kind of overkill and awkward to deal with, if it's 3" 9oz tape you have a lot of room for error.

CLCs original Chesapeake 17LT had the interior tape nearly sanded half way through and it held together.

The last construction I made was a Shearwater(Merganser)17W with pre-glassed panels (on the interior), minimal fillets and 2" 6oz tape over that with the edges of the tape scraped down considerably.
