Teak oil, tung oil, varnish, linseed oil diluted with turpentine - these are other options. As is doing nothing, as mentioned.
Personally, I mostly oil the frames for cosmetic reasons (I like the looks of a darker frame), but I've found that the Watco DO colors tend to fade pretty quickly. They also, at first and just occasionally, "bleed thru" a nylon skin.
I don't have any info on Watco's DO rot resistance, excepting that I haven't noticed any yet.
