Tinting Zar (and most other one-part polyurethane) is pretty easy. Most use artists oil colors (essentially pigment in linseed oil) but some have used regular paint colorants as well as powdered pigments with success. Just remember to add very little and build your color with multiple coats of poly. Too much oil color or colorants (i.e. too much linseed oil) can leave you with a product that doesn't dry correctly.
