: I'm interested in any info on the Shearwater Atlantic. I built a Merganser
: from plans a few yeas ago and it's been great. Also did an sprey from a
: kit but want to try a stripper. I'm on the left coast and
: amalsoconsidering a Redfish kayak.

Hay Joy I built a Redfish Parr for my daughter. I like Joe's designs The Silver is one to look at. I have the forms for the King all cut out and the stems laminated. I like the king's hull design good volume aft of the cockpit. This one should catch a wave great. The Silver looks like a slightly smaller version of the Return. It may have just what you are looking for. Good speed good tracking room for gear. I cant comment much on the Atlantic. It is written up as a expedition boat. I have a Guillemot I just love. It is not a strong tracking boat. If I built it again I would put a skeg in it. Where I use it it works just fine. All that said I may not help much but I feel more will post and add much more.
Good luck with picking.
