Putz's book was the first boatbuilding book I bought way back when. Even tho' I didn't know zip the construction technique involved in the "Walrus" seemed kind of complex because of all the pieces that have to be cut out. And the large, floor-mounted molds are kind of useless for those that work on a concrete floor. There is a set of dimensions for a set of short molds that can be strongback mounted in the archive.
There was plenty of discussion of the Walrus if you care to search it out.Those that built it seemed to be happy with it as I recall.
