Looks very, very similar to the jig I made for cutting scarfs on the table saw.

My jig doesn't use the slot in the table, it rides against the fence so that it can be used with any table saw (or even a band saw, although my attempt at cutting scarfs on a band saw didn't turn out so well).

The next time I cut scarfs, I'm going to put the jig on a sliding table since I don't have a good zero-clearance insert (crappy table saw) and I had some tear out problems cutting smaller pieces.
