: Nick's book explains that additional layers that don't cover the whole
: surface, such as on the stems or a portion of the bottom, are best added
: on the outside rather than under the layer you have already put on, that
: covers the whole thing (hull). This is because this way you will not sand
: into and damage that first overall layer when you fair the edges of your
: extra layers. There is a diagram in his book. bottom line is you are OK to
: add them now, adding the extra layers afterwards is the right way to go.
